Welcome!
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geosciences at Auburn University. My research focuses on groundwater resources, hydrogeology, lithologic data science, and groundwater sustainability. I use large hydrogeologic datasets, field observations, geospatial analysis, and machine-learning approaches to understand how subsurface geology controls groundwater storage, accessibility, and resilience.
Through research, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration, my goal is to advance groundwater science and train the next generation of hydrogeologists and water-resource scientists.
I am currently building a research group focused on groundwater resources, hydrogeology, lithologic data science, groundwater storage, and sustainable water management.
Opportunities available: I am seeking motivated graduate students, undergraduate researchers, and postdoctoral researchers interested in large-scale groundwater studies, hydrogeologic modeling, geospatial analysis, and groundwater sustainability.
I welcome inquiries from motivated PhD, Master’s, and postdoctoral candidates whose interests align with hydrogeology, groundwater sustainability, water resources, data science, and environmental modeling.
When contacting me, please include your CV, brief background, research interests, and why you are a good fit for the group. I especially value applicants who are self-motivated, curious, independent, collaborative, and able to bring unique skills or perspectives.
A brief Zoom or in-person conversation is encouraged before submitting a formal application. Please visit the Opportunities for Prospective Students page for information about working with my research group. Details can be found here.
Hosting opportunities: I welcome visiting researchers, collaborators, and students interested in working on groundwater questions in the United States, Alabama, Ethiopia, and broader water-stressed regions.
If you are interested in joining or collaborating, please feel free to contact me.
